A Turkish husband had, as one of his obligations, to continually provide his wife with a full supply of coffee throughout the duration of the marriage.  
Failing to do so was, rather ironically, Grounds for divorce.

Coffee cake is the American crumpet.
...but usually a bit on the sweet side to my liking, as I prefer less sugar.  While we're at it I prefer pie far more than cake. 
No one has ever made me a coffee pie.
I shall wait.
