Coffee Mugs

With some you just can't tell. And it's unlikely they'll let you in on the secret; you'll get what they give ~~and if you're real good at it, you may get a bit more than you should. ...but with most you just can't tell.
With others it's just as well
(to quote Mr. Davies)

IF ...ferocious

You can't get much more frumious than a Jabberwock, my son; Lewis Carroll ushered in his whiffling foe, and it has been the inspiration for many varied reinterpretations. Even Alice had to admit that "Somehow it fills my head with ideas---only I don't exactly know what they are!"
Callooh! Callay!

Coffee Mugs

Waiting is worth the wait, because history shows us that the common place of today was the stunning unbelievable revelation of yesterday.
...it's humbling to know that tomorrow's common place has yet to be realized and uncovered.

we should start wondering how we are ever managing without.

IF ...mesmerizing

The early 1940s brought us the first teen idol. ~~Frank Sinatra mesmerized the women at home and infuriated the men fighting overseas. Ol' Blue Eyes then embarked on a career that had as many rises and falls as his bi-polar personality had ups and downs.
Still he did it his way.

IF ...boundaries

"Art is a lie that makes us realize the truth". Pablo Picasso not only pushed boundaries, in many cases, he lost boundaries altogether ~and set new ones that were entirely his own. In terms of art he set no limits and thereby created fresh boundaries for others to follow.

Coffee Mugs

Stressful situations often bring out the hidden character in people, or perhaps amplify the volume of their already evident inclinations. One is obliged to pay close attention to the hands, eyes, head tilts and ears... which are the soul's guide to the underworld.

IF ...mysterious

In an appropriate parallel to his macabre fiction, Edgar Allan Poe left this world under mysterious circumstances: incoherent, delirious, and wearing someone else's clothes.
Flew the coop, as it were, a possible victim of cooping...
~~(from which he never recouped).

Coffee Mugs

It's true that oft times I slip into a caricature frame of mind at any random time or place... I can, if desired, see people as distorted forms instead of their actual aspects. At first it's entertaining and soon becomes common place as I move around at ease in a dysmorphic world of garbled heads --until I remind myself that everybody does NOT look like I'm processing them, and then it's a rude jolt back to mundane reality.
This is a big secret.
Don't tell anyone.
