IF ...forward

In his Sisyphean quest to become real human incarnate, Pinocchio was marching ever forward, one step at a time; regretfully each step forward was often accompanied by a pair of steps back.
He'll tell you a different story, however...

Xanazoo ~Hey Bulldog!

"I'm a goal oriented cur and when I make my plan ~I stick to it! I don't give a cat's pass what anyone thinks or who gets in the way, or if it no longer applies to achieving my goal!"

Coffee Mugs

Some people's faces seem painful to wear.
Other faces are a burden to bare.
~There's a few that resemble the back of your dining room chair...
Nevertheless, they just continue to stare
(at me).

IF ...twirl

The home run king for the bulk of the 20th century (and stellar batter for the ages), Babe Ruth, started his major league career ~oddly enough~ as a pitcher for the Boston Red Sox. His tenure as a twirler was equally impressive.
His irascible nature, however, led to his being sold to the Yankees in 1919 launching the Curse of the Bambino on the poor Red Sox.

Xanazoo ~Purple Rabbit!

"All the attention showered upon the tortoise is gravely misplaced; I maintain, and I maintain STRONGLY that my pre~race electrolyte carrot juice was laced liberally with concentrated Chamomile extract and warm milk. Not to mention his incessant lullaby~humming at the starting gate!
~~ I demand a rematch."
"I must admit that carrot juice WAS rather tasty, though..."

Tenderheads

A POWDER BLUE LINCOLN

Our 16th president persevered amidst personal and national traumas despite suffering from melancholia. In many ways an example of fortitude for all.

Coffee Mugs

Confessions of a Clandestine Caricaturist:
Yes, it's true. When at a coffee shop and I spy an empty table in my view, I get up and arrange the chairs to best accommodate a preferred angle for my next drawing. More often than not, when a new person wanders in, they sit in a beautiful 3/4 view right in front of me. Makes my day.
Just call me an aracnicaricaturist...

IF ...grounded

The only PhD president, Woodrow Wilson, was grounded in 1919 (towards the end of his 2nd term) when a stroke paralyzed his left side and left him blind in one eye. For the remainder of his incumbency his wife Edith ran the show acting as delegator and judge of which issues were brought to his attention, and which were not.

Phthalo Moons ~wolf

WOLF MOON

The January full moon is known as the Wolf Moon ~primarily due to the loquacious wolf packs waxing eloquent as only wolves can; howling enough to agitate, but always stopping short of crying wolf.
