Coffee Mugs

You'll never be satisfied if you draw to meet your expectations.  It's much better to allow exploration to be your goal, and more often than not you'll find that expectations you didn't know you had will be met.

    I love your words of wisdom. You should put together a little book of quotable Rick and illustrations and publish it online. Great sketches as always. The one on the bottom is especially fun.

    I look at this week's sketches, and find myself trying to imagine what their voices would sound like....and wondering if any of them smelled like cigarettes....

      hmmm.... I'm not sure what their voices were like, most were at a good distance in a noisy coffee shop (Peet's)...
      It's interesting to apply the cigarette smell; I think it works for all of them (except number 2)... In California, there's no smoking in restaurants so no immediate second hand stuff going on.
