Coffee Mugs

The weight of the center of the mass of the head should be visually spun (like a rotor in a gyroscope) at the speed implied by the sitter's body mannerisms and general energy.    This imagined internal shoving about can define the outer limits of the caricatured head, as well as the direction of the distortion(s).

  1. I was wondering...do you write these theoretical
gems about drawing caricatures? So interesting anyway...The results speak for themselves as usual!

    1. Thanks Rod, and yes. It's me trying to articulate what exactly is going on as I approach and execute the caricatures. I get concerned that it can become a bit ponderous at times, but explaining what is intuitively done, is a bit like trying to explain in words how one balances on a bicycle.
