Coffee Mugs

It's important to understand that most artists of any accomplishment aren't a camera; they don't draw what they see, they draw what they want you to see... ~Robert Beverly Hale identified this as a truism.
Caricature is freed from the shackles of copying, and its joy is its freedom of interpretation and visual libel.

  1. I admire people who "screw it up" this way and the result is such beautiful portrait (compliment).
And you are master in this field!
    I enjoy it .

  2. Excellent commentary. This creed is continually expressed in your imagery. It's always a delight to view your blog. It makes me want to visit your coffee shop since there's no people like this at mine!

  3. That big boy on top really fills up the page. The incompleteness of the middle drawing gives it a fleeting quality of someone being surprised. lovely
