IF ...heights

Although best known as a fictional character in a tragic play of love, Cyrano de Bergerac was a real person ~~a 17th century writer and dualist. However, it was the fictional version of his self that achieved the heights of fame he likely had longed for in his real life.
...and we all would like to attain the heights of romance the mythical Cyrano courted Roxane with.

  3. This is so damn great and hilarious! And I just love these colors, which seem like a bit of a departure for you? Fantastic illustration and just really cool. Also the two right hand sketches look like chickens. ;)

[I hope you will delete one if I show two comments. The first one disappeared on me!]

  6. What a wonderful composition! The peaks and valleys are really effective in creating the sense of height, and furthered by your use of scale. How can a girl resist the delicate fragrance wafting from that rose? Hmmm. If it's not from the right suitor, it probably smells like cat food.

    A+

  7. This composition is really wonderful with it;s delightful use of scale. I love the sweep of the beard up pushing the eye up to the height of the nose and the tension created with the elusive rose. And that mustache is a character in itself

The vibrant yellow/green is nicely balanced with the complement.
