IF ...train

Jesse, and his brother Frank, James may be the most famous train robbers of the 19th century.  Shunning alcohol, the fastidious Jameses only rarely robbed the passengers... just the trains.
Where they put all those trains is beyond me.

  1. What a great idea! I like that you didn't feel compelled to draw a train. Who knew they didn't rob the passengers? There's nothing like a couple of bandits with a moral line. No wonder the Wild West is so romanced. I wonder what Jesse and Frank would have to say of the Boston Bombers.

    1. I believe that they did loot the occasional passenger, but for years there actually was a romanticized attribution to Jesse after he was done in with a bullet from the gun of Robert Ford; he was portrayed as a type of Robin Hood, who stole from the big train companies and gave to the poor... but there's no evidence to back that up... ~sure sold a lot of dime novels though.
Also, although Jesse WAS a teetotaler, I'm not convinced about Frank's abstinence.
The Bombers? I believe they'd not think much of their murdering innocents for stupidity...

  2. Nicely done...to me it seems that these two robbers are cleverly camouflaged...

  3. How could I possibly miss your renditions of the Beatles?! Love them and now I'm left wondering where the James bros hid their trains :)
