IF ...safari

In 1909 Theodore Roosevelt went on safari in what is now Kenya and bagged six rare white rhinos... ~~and over 11,000 other animals to boot.
He found a lot of animals,
but never found the presidency again.

  4. Wonderful! Although TR is the main event, your jungle background is simply delightful. The complexities of detail, tonal change and movement are very satisfying and worth the extended hours of effort. And the butterflies are an especially nice touch.

I see my comments in your previous posts never came back :(
Well...I hope you had the time to read them before blogger erased them. In any case, if you were not able to read them I'll tell you again I enjoyed them very much. Specially the post about Paul McCartney :)

  6. I really love that even with the monotone background so far, you’ve accomplished such a clear sense of space. Great atmosphere -- every detail helps to tell the story. I feel like I need bug spray just to look at this!

  9. Nice work. There is so much detail and depth in the drawing. Roosevelt is quite the little go getter. I love the elephant hiding in the back ground (I would hide too) and the little fly making it's escape on the left. The depth is so well done with Roosevelt coming through the vines and then with the vine subtly casting their shadow on his head.
