The mouth can be deceiving and dishonest. The eyes, being the windows to the soul, have a hard time being dishonest ~but with practice they learn to divert suspicion.
The NOSE, however, has few muscular options, so is relegated to nakedness and honesty... an observer need only to pay close attention and not be distracted by the glamour of the eyes and mouth; the truth will out with the nose.
The nose not liking all this attention has developed a partial sneer to communicate its dissatisfaction, but to no avail.

Number 1 seems like a lifetime of disappointment while my favorite, number 3 has escaped the frame of Heironymous Bosch's "Good Thief" and taken her rightful place amongst the vain and thoughtless. You're scaring the customers, Richard.
ReplyDeleteI like the articulation of the hands and the hair in the first drawing and the body is suggested very nicely. The pull of the diagonals in the face makes the lady look quite suspicious. The exaggeration and balance of the third is compelling. She looks serene
