It's interesting to pay attention to the ignored lines in a caricature. It shows not only a moment of indecision and improvisation, but even more so, the corrections are a statement of adjusted deformation that were deemed invaluable to the essence conveyed.

I'm loving the "Pals". The counter balance in number one is wonderful. I think it's the mouth that keeps the head from being pulled over by the weight of the nose.
