Would you, could you,
in a book?
Rhyme it, time it,
like a kook?
Dr. Seuss came on the scene in the the 1950s with a remedy for illiteracy ~and his special brand of book learning made reading more palatable to children than it had ever been.
I do so like
small word flimflam!
Thank you!
Thank you!

Great Caricature...Maybe it was his name Seuss which inspired him to help remedy illiteracy. Whilst searching for him today after seeing your drawing, I discovered I had always pronounced his name incorrectly as rhyming with juice and not voice.
ReplyDeleteI sure do like your Seuss a lot.
ReplyDeletePerhaps much more than Camelot.
I will eat green eggs and spam.
With deli mustard; hold the ham.
I would eat them on a boat.
Sitting high upon a goat.
Would you, could you, draw some more?
Such delights you have in store.
Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
Dr. Speth.

.
Of course, Dr. Seuss. This is just MY CUP OF TEA! GREAT, I really really like it!
ReplyDeleteYou know it really looks the great Seuss, and that is very impressive considering the liberties that you have taken. The hand is nicely done and the glasses define he mans character nicely.
ReplyDeleteawesomeness!!! this is my favorite, love the caricature and the poem
ReplyDeleteMy heart became lighter and healed a bit on seeing your remedy. The stripes in the face make the mixture just right.
ReplyDeleteYou morphed a Seuss
ReplyDeleteinto a Hat
& I am quite
impressed by that!
Great to see the illustration process, and a little literary history.
