There's a fine line between the frightening and the silly. Paul Reubens oft times came perilously close to crossing that Reuben-con with his Pee-wee Herman character; the final assessment being made by the viewer's inner child's threshold for the inane.
As Pee Wee Herman would say, "ha,ha". I just love this! You've totally captured his essence, Rick. I like the white dots in the background, too. They add to the zaniness of his effervescent persona. (Still, keep my kid away from him!)
Great body language, from the tip of his hair to the tips of the fingers, very funny. Mardi's right best to experience a mediated Pee Wee. They are scary in person.
AHHH...I miss Pee Wee! Great job in capturing his character. you should send Mr. Reubens this link, he would love it. Great arms by the way...that was my favorite part of his act...his zany arm gestures.
Richard, once again you have captured both the moment and the persona! Or is it the real person. He gives me the heebejeebees actually :) So scary yes.
Thanks for the tip in the next post about stretching t he face. Comfort zones are terrible things that we slip into when our minds are not in gear.
