Coffee Mugs

Visual focus, much like the human mind, cannot be successful and ubiquitous at once. Edit, dance, and prioritize the elements that best convey the human message.

  1. This are all very dynamic and dark. my favorite is the one on on the bottom. nice contrast between the S curve and the horizontals. What is he holding?

    1. I don't really remember what he was holding, it looks to be a cigar, but being in a coffee shop, perhaps it's an overbaked biscotti...

being the 21st century though, it's probably an ipod.

I like the overbaked biscotti concept better.

  2. The first one really gets to me. The use of line weight and form pulling this guy right out of the fog of the eternal. A joy to view the drawing, however in real life I hope he stays hidden in the haze. The second drawing looks like a 1940's or 50's character actor. Cool.

    1. I'm rather fond of the push & pull of the first one myself.
      Thanks, Bill.
