Without a mastery of suspense, a master of horror would be simply horrid. Stephen King has always been shining at both ends of his creative candle ~~leaving his readers all agog for his latest bag of bones.
Those needful things are always in misery until then.

Such a great likeness, despite the craziness of it. As usual! Great 3D effect too. I think you must have been doing this for a long time. Which is a good reminder that we all need to just keep at it.
ReplyDeleteI agree completely.
DeleteKeeping at it will get you further than most anything else in drawing and painting.
.
Great caricature...I am guessing that is 'the world's finest word processor' in his right hand.
ReplyDeleteI like what you have done with the colours in this work..leaving some black and white lines..all tasteful choices as usual..inspirational.
That's fantastic! Great rendering! You picked an excellent subject for Suspense. He sure is a master!
ReplyDeleteSuch a perfect choice, and wonderfuly executed. I love how he's suspended between the two points.
ReplyDeleteThis is really great work. I like the idea, the drawing and the colours! Perfect!
ReplyDeleteSK 1s scary just to look at :) I like the way you balanced him. Perfect for "suspense".
ReplyDeleteThe Shining was my first and last encounter with King's brilliance. Waaaaaay too much suspense for me! Here, his poison pen looks rather like a hypodermic needle. Nice touch! And not being able to see his eyes really ups the creep factor. Nicely done (as usual).
ReplyDeletelove Steven King. I have read many of his books in one sitting. This is a great likeness of him, and perfect for suspense.
ReplyDeleteYou nail it every time! Perfect!
ReplyDeleteI like the way that the head fills up space and is suspended in the space. The glasses are unsettling..and suggests the inward gaze of teh author. Where does he come up with his ideas anyways? The gradation of the background works really well and as always the character is rendered beautifully
ReplyDeleteWonderful. Thank you for sharing
ReplyDeleteWell done!!
