the final frontier. This is the caricature of the actor Leonard Nimoy. My never-ending mission: to explore strange new distortions, to seek out new forms and new proportions, to boldly draw what no man has drawn before.
This is really good...love the background!! Spock's paleness is perfect....It made me think that with the huge popularity of Star Trek...the 'Trekkies' would probably spend large amounts to obtain a work like this.
Wonderful Spock! Love those ears and great eyebrows, and even more, those vibrant purples! They make a beautiful complement to the uniform. (Well done with the write-up, too!)
hmm... I HAD noticed a while back that my followers number went down by one, but had no way of knowing who it was... --that might have been you. Anyway, thanks for the re-follow, and the compliments.
If only I could raise one eyebrow like Spock, I'd be so cool. I think Rod is onto something here ... there's commercial possibilities in this image that are worth exploring.
Love the background texture. Your carickature is the epitome of Dr. Spock. I especially like his boots and the short pant length. (Looks like he's waiting for a flood.) Perfect again!
far out! great Spock. He looks so cool and yet you captured the tension of his personality as well. The suit against the textured background works really well. The background is galaxy like and yet does a nice job grounding our favorite Vulcan.
Fantastic work!
ReplyDeleteI love the way you did the ears and eyebrows :)

ReplyDeleteLeonard would be proud. Great looking character and I love the texture of the background to compliment the face. Good job.
ReplyDeleteHahaha! Total belly laughing over his never-ending mission. You are too funny! I never tire of your caricatures :)
ReplyDeletePS Officially following you...although I thought I already had been. Blogger seems to have dropped a couple of my other people lately, too. Grrr.

Nice - also like the energy of your initial Spock sketch and the idea between the teeth!

Way cool! this is Spock at his absolute nerdiest. And I really really like the background texture.....
ReplyDeleteRick,
ReplyDeleteLogical choice of subject.
Nice color combination and draftsmanship!
Great insight into the complexity of Spock. It looks like you really enjoyed making the background too. I'm enjoying it as well.

ReplyDeletePerfect!!
ReplyDeleteThose eyebrows are the icing on the cake. I also like the way he fills the space of your spacey background. :)
