Coffee Mugs

A caricature is more a portrait of one's manners than merely an exaggeration of identifiable features...

  1. The lady on top is quite fascinating. I would pair her with the guy on the bottom who seems baffled by her allure.

I love the dufus(sp?) in the middle. What a character!

  2. The way you put it is quite interesting. I do agree. Indeed, thinking a caricature is just, or merely, an exaggeration of identifiable features is saying few abaut what indeed can be this work - it's thinking the easy way. Nice skethes.

  3. Your first image must be Barbara Streisand. (Did you mug her?)
The middle man was taken by surprise upon seeing her in the coffee shop. And the chap at the bottom? The poor guy looks deeply entrenched in worry. Nice work, as usual.

  4. I love your coffee mugs!
And that guy with his glasses is just fantastic. The way he spirals toward us is really well drawn, and those glasses... Great caricature!
