IF ...identical

Essentially mirror images of themselves, Tweedledum and Tweedledee agreed not to disagree even when consenting to have a battle with each other. This identical frame of mind served their uniform dispositions equally...

  1. Sounds like a good agreement! Great da vinci-ish style! Who's the little girl?

    1. That would be Alice.
      ~from Alice in Wonderland.
Actually Tweedledum & Tweedledee were from the sequel: 'Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There'...

or perhaps the little girl could be the young Mona Lisa?

  2. Great artwork..really clever use of the vetruvian man...after all, Da vinci painted two men in HIS graphic...He would never have guessed that oneday they would be parodied with Tweedle dum and Tweedle dee!!

  3. I love it! Very funny and clever composition; beautifully drawn and painted. Their appearance here as siamese twins is far superior to Lewis Carroll's rendition. Excellent!

  4. Great illustration Rick. the spoof off the vitruvian man is very clever. i am especially impressed with the pattern on the arms. It is just the right touch and won't be so wonderlandiful if it wasn't there.

  5. Love it! So much fun and I love the tiny Alice. Your sketches are just as interesting as the main event! A butterfly, and a Tweedledee and Tweedledum butterfly, and for some peculiar reason, a pear on an ice skate! (Figure skate?)

    1. I believe that while searching for "identical" subjects, the idea of a pair of ice skates came up....
~~so sorry, but as you see it was a concept summarily dismissed.

      thanks for the compliments, Cindy.
