IF ...bicycle

When the penny-farthing has mysteriously disappeared, enlightened folk avail themselves of Sherlock Holmes (based primarily on Basil Rathbone here) to save the day... "Where ever shall we look, Sherlock?" asks a fretful Dr. Watson. "It's 'ordinary', my dear Watson, --one begins with oneself!" replies a preoccupied Mr. Holmes...

  2. This is so fantastic, Richard! While it's difficult not to focus on the searching eyeball, the supporting image of Sherlock is beautifully rendered and fills the compositional space well. The movement you've achieved on the eyeball is very captivating - really holds this viewer's attention - and the contrast using (primarily) black and white compounds the effect. Your last thumbnail is funny. Who was this supposed to be?

  3. I too love the turning of the wheel of the eye. I keep going around and around.

  4. Very nice. I like the way that Sherlock stretches into the frame and the way that you resolved the word is very clever...especially the revolving eye. I also enjoy the enhanced depth with the magnified magnifying glass.
