Coffee Mugs

The anatomy of contentment has no specific rules, so its expression is free to meander through the vagaries of the buccinator to the furrowing of the glabella, ~~yet it is an expression easily identified ...due mostly to the tension created from the contrast of fluid relaxation and the gravid collywobbles.

IF ...midsummer night

Never send a woodland sprite to do a faerie king's job... but that's exactly what Oberon did on a midsummer night; the end result was everyone fell in love with the wrong person and others made asses of themselves. When asked to explain the snafu (summer's night all fowled up), Oberon simply spat out:
"Puck you"

IF ...launch

In 1962 the Cuban Missile Crisis was the closest the Cold War came to annihilating the world as we knew it. After 13 intense days of cat and mouse, JFK and Nikita Khrushchev opted to discuss further disputes over launch.
...or better perhaps, ~~supper.

Coffee Mugs

It's interesting to pay attention to the ignored lines in a caricature. It shows not only a moment of indecision and improvisation, but even more so, the corrections are a statement of adjusted deformation that were deemed invaluable to the essence conveyed.

IF ...swept

One of the perks of John F. Kennedy's (albeit short) term in the White House, was that presidential dalliances were typically swept under the rug by the press, and the public in general...
What happened in DC stayed in DC.

Coffee Mugs

The mouth can be deceiving and dishonest. The eyes, being the windows to the soul, have a hard time being dishonest ~but with practice they learn to divert suspicion.
The NOSE, however, has few muscular options, so is relegated to nakedness and honesty... an observer need only to pay close attention and not be distracted by the glamour of the eyes and mouth; the truth will out with the nose.
The nose not liking all this attention has developed a partial sneer to communicate its dissatisfaction, but to no avail.

IF ...shadows

From the shadows of World War I came one of the more shadowy figures to cloud the European continent in centuries. Adolf Hitler brought death, hatred, evil and a second World War to fruition, and darkened Earth for the duration.

Coffee Mugs

Gravity is an important factor in caricature. The directional tension between the forces of nature and people's penchant for remaining upright is seen explicitly in the face and, in particular, the features' struggle for identity.
The rest of the body is not immune to this battle.
