Harry Houdini wouldn't let anything tie him down, least of all water. He dramatically escaped from a sealed milk can (filled with water), an Overboard River box, and even upside-down in a Chinese Water Torture cell.
He was thirsty for fame, notoriety and love.

This is wonderful, Richard! Love the design, can't tear my glance away from those protruding, fearful, hopeful eyes.
ReplyDeleteLove it!! Great perspective, and I agree - his eyes are mesmerizing! The color also really adds to the mood....
ReplyDeleteManipulating your pun...water great work...the perspective is exciting..you are the master of faces.
ReplyDeleteAgreeing with the others! Great perspective, hypnotizing eyes. You've also brilliantly captured his wispy hair floating in the water. Very cool!
ReplyDeleteWhat's also great is how your signature floats in the water, it helps the water look more realistic.
ReplyDeleteamazing piece.
ReplyDeletehe could escape any chain with many locks (above or below the water)
but finally he could not escape from bacterial infection....
Love the color! And Pov. The writing is teriffic too.
ReplyDeleteGreat eyes and nose!!I like you portray the man at what he did best :)
ReplyDeleteHa. he really does look thirsty despite being surrounded. I love the forced perspective and those needy eyes bubbling up the surface. The gradient works great too.
