Bishop Milton Wright brought home a toy helicopter for his two boys, Wilbur and Orville, to play with. They broke it. And then proceeded to make their own. Years later they built an even bigger flying machine.

ReplyDeleteI particularly like the heavily waxed moustache as it appears to be attached in the Mr. Potato Head fashion. How very resourceful– the brothers packed an extra propellor in case of emergency. A very delightful image, Richard!

The mustache is pretty awesome. You really pushed the contrasts in this illustration and the cut paper affect works well with the allusion to being airborne. I really love the little sketches too.
