In 1969, John and Yoko became one by marrying in Gibraltar near Spain, but by that point, it was getting difficult to VISUALLY distinguish one from the other as well... even Paul was known to get confused, it kept him on his toes ~oh yeah.

Great idea and I love how you're morphed them :D. It's so true too....
ReplyDeleteReally great caricatures! I enjoy seeing your process too.
ReplyDeletevery fun, Richard. loving the cascading waterfall of hair. makes me want to go swimming-
ReplyDeleteVERY NICE!! I like your approach.
ReplyDeleteWhat a funny totem! The faces are really great. Jono* was one voice for love and peace. And the people were afraid. Go figure. Your creativity is wonderful.

Ha ha how true! Brilliant illustration, and love the process pics too :)
ReplyDeleteHey Richard! This is one of my all-time favorites of yours! I couldn’t wait to see what you came up with! You really nailed Yoko! John is totally right on! Fantastic piece of work. I tried to guess who you were going to do. I put the initials Y.B. at the end of my last comment on your mug page. It was my guess for Yogi Berra “Deja vu all over again”. or I guess it could have been Yul Brenner :o)
ReplyDeletewhoa, this is too funny, love it!
ReplyDelete@ Jack:
ReplyDeleteYogi Berra! Wow, that would have been fun! Yul as well... onto the on deck circle they go. I briefly considered doing the Bushes, but the mood wasn't fun enough, ~other presidential twosomes came up as well, but John & Yoko (or Yawn & Joko as their detractors would have it) were the most enticing. Yoko in particular I had never done, and wanted to explore her form...particularly her mouth ~which always folded in interesting ways.
I love it. Too true too. Thanks for getting me to laugh today!
ReplyDeletehaha...you have no idea how much I love this :D
ReplyDeleteJohn's nose looks great ♥
Great illo! You captured them both!
ReplyDeleteNice illo and great that you showed the process all the way down to the doodles...
ReplyDeleteQuite fresh. Love the duo. Yoko is right on. The alterating rhythm of the mimicing arms work well with the progressive rhythm of the heads. Purple is the perfect PC color
ReplyDeleteThis is so cool in so many ways: Solution, drawing, understanding on many levels.
ReplyDeleteI really like this. I just love how Yoko is attached onto John. Great turn out Obi-wan.
ReplyDeleteAwesome work. Excellent!!
