IF ...swept

One of the perks of John F. Kennedy's (albeit short) term in the White House, was that presidential dalliances were typically swept under the rug by the press, and the public in general...
What happened in DC stayed in DC.

  1. You've really nailed his likeness, Richard, and you've captured his charisma along the way! What a difference a little color can make. I can't help but notice the similarities of physical features (and philanderings) of Kennedy and Clinton - which are especially apparent on your first pencil drawing. I like the shape repetition of Kennedy's hand and his pocket pal too.

  2. Nice likeness of our Irish catholic president. The diagonals radiating from the eyes send you out and then back in again. With a jaw like that one assumes moral certitude and strength of character but then one finds the surprise in the pocket. I don't know what I prefer....knowing about all those "dalliances"...or not

  3. Strong structure in the head, so solid and satisfying. Twisted and light at the same time which is complicated like Kennedy was and subtlety of the pocket is wonderful.

  5. Nice job! I agree with Mardi's comment plus Alice's uncertainty about whether or not I wanted to know about what JFK was doing. I guess whatever gets swept under the rug is going to get discovered eventually? I really like your colors.
