An English mathematician and scientist held an enduring influential reign for centuries as the premier theoretical physicist ~who's lineage led to the likes of Einstein and his friends... Isaac Newton had theories about subjects as varied as optics, mathematics and even the occult. He seemed to gravitate in all directions...
Hey, its a Carol marine apple! nice planes and gravitational pull
ReplyDeleteSomehow you make a tree look like Newton....love the wavy wig/hair
I like this inventive approach, Richard! The contrast in style, between Newton and the apple, is very effective. I also like his wispy, swirly hair. The apple looks like this apple won't fall very far from the tree. Good thing too, for all those scientists that followed.
ReplyDeleteOooh, you really can draw. The first sketch is fascinating!
ReplyDeleteNicely done. Original take as usual!
ReplyDeletewow, I see more dynamic and movement in the finished picture rather than in the sketches ! You find here a perfect balance between " unfinished and finished" drawing....good work.
ReplyDeleteAnd .... the little squirrel beautifully positioned ......it is the cherry on the Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte !!!
Newton as the tree...love it!
ReplyDeleteWow, what a range of painting handling from thin to thick and solid. Well organized with the thickness and gravity of the apple pulling it forward. I'm too enjoying the hair.
