With a singing voice that could range over 4 octaves, Freddie Mercury had no problem swelling from bass to tenor in a single phrase... --and often challenged his audience to match his bravado. He was as swell as a daffodil, my dear..

ReplyDeleteThis seems to me a bit Freudian, perhaps. That would certainly be consistent with the title of your blog. Nice contribution to IF!

ReplyDeleteFabulous voice! Fabulous illo! I like the circular movement and your color choices. It feel circus-y, but with a softer flamboyance. I enjoyed your concepts too, especially the second post. The body posture and the mouth study are terrific.
Haha, I see Pop eye nearly made it! I am glad you did Freddy as he's one of my favourites and you did a great job emphasising such a famous mouth where many famous sounds came out of.
ReplyDeleteDynamic and flamboyant. The form of the face, especially the mouth are beautifully rendered. I also like the gradient of the background and the way the figure blends into it.
ReplyDeleteThere will never be another one like him. Great choice for swell... you really nailed it!
ReplyDeleteThose teeth...those lips...Swell! Yikes!

ReplyDeleteThis is fun,the mouth and teeth are my favorite parts :)
